this auction is for a hard back book published by New Zealand books Palmerston North in 1974.
FIRST EDITION. It has been translated from the French by John Dunmore.
The Author, a French film maker, recounts his visit to New Zealand where he spent eight months filming the country and the people. Of course, sheep, rugby, suburban life, and old gold miner in a ghost settlement, all these contribute to his picture of New Zealand. But above all he came to meet the Maori people -- in the cities,in the country and sometimes in isolated settlements.
The book has 8 half-tone plates with text drawings, (174pp) .
Good internal condition, clean and sound.
Dust cover is a bit scuffed around the edges and a little battered, but nothing missing.
