About the Author

Peter Macinnis writes about what interests him, which usually turns be something Australian or historical or scientific and sometimes it can be all three. He writes for both adults and children, but tends to get awards when he writes for children.

His awards include four notable books with the CBCA, two of which were shortlisted, one of them being an Honour Book in the Eve Pownalls and the other being Eve Pownall Book of the Year in 2010, going on to feature in the 2011 international White Ravens list in 2011. In 2012, he won his second Whitley Award and in 2013, he shared the W. A. Premier's Book Award for Children's Literature with a verse novel (who'd be a judge?).
