Was published as a guide for those seeking information on practices within the Catholic Religion that was not readily accessible. Especially for parents raising children in the faith. The author quotes this manual as being a lamp of faith to kindly light the way of truth. There is 189 pages of every subject within the religion.

There is a copy of a testimonial from Francis Cardinal Satolli in Rome written in Italian that has been translated. This volume has been dedicated and there is a hand written name at the front of the book James Edward, Archbishop of Chicago.

The illustrations at the front of the book are beautiful and mesmerising. The manual is over 90 years old and has been well used so of course it does have some wear. There are some small tears and marks on some pages. Also the spine needs to be reglued to the outer cover but this does not interfere with opening and closing the book as the binding is still in tact. The construction of the cover which is very thick is still sturdily intact and does have some marks which could probably be easily removed. Despite the faults mentioned the book still has its charm and stature of its era. Also it is very heavy.
