Two lovely old copies of the classics by journalist H.V. Morton, who rose to fame for his coverage of the opening of Tukankhamen's lost tomb in 1923.

After subsequently writing a very popular series of travel books covering England, Scotland and Wales, he was asked to write "In The Steps of the Master". The master in question is Jesus, and the book covers scenes to be found in the New Testament: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Samaria, Galilee, Caesarea, Damascus, and more.
Anyone with an interest in seeing where Jesus went, and where the events of His ministry took place, will love this book. In addition, it is also a fascinating window into Palestine in 1934, with many things unchanged over the nearly 2000 years since Christ.
This copy is from the 2nd printing, December 1934. It includes 26 historic sepia-tone photos.
Has the name of the original owner and the date 21st February 1935 written in pen on the endpaper.
