this book captures the atmosphere of the past, deviating on the slightest pretence into many areas of human interest.
No aspect of the sport has been overlooked....It covers biography, foresight in acquiring land for courses, courageious pioneering efforts in shipping horses from overseas to improve the bloostock, the influence of hunting..even the humble station hack is included....
the book is quite tidy, although a few rusty marks on inside pages,,closed page edges a weee bit grubby....spine, both hardcover and softcover is faded...soft cover edges a bit tatty..
