Description

This interesting item is a well used programme from the Peter Stuyvesant International motor race meeting held at the Wigram air base in 1975. The feature race was the Twenty-First International Lady Wigram Trophy Race and included in the field was the only UK driver, Chris Amon. Amon was second on the grid in a five litre Talon but retired on lap 19 with a cracked cylinder head. The race was won by Graeme McRae. The owner of the programme managed to get Chris Amon's signature on the cover. The programme has been extensively marked with ball point pen crossing off laps etc. and the centre spread has come away from the rusting staples and there is a tape repaired tear on it. It is however an interesting piece of New Zealand motor racing history, including period advertisements. See my listings for more motoring books including some signed copies.
