ATKINSON - LORRIES ILLUSTRATED

This particular book is an illustrated history of the Atkinson brand as it was known from the early 1960s to the mid-1980s. The colour pictures were hand-selected from the personal collection of the author, who photographed Atkinson machines over a period of 25 years. The lorries featured are some of the best known models and they are uniquely depicted in their authentic period liveries, many of which can no longer be seen in Britain today.

It has been nearly 35 years since the final Atkinson machine came out of the famous Walton-le-Dale factory, but this book serves as an acute reminder of the success and ingenuity of this legend of the British road haulage industry.
