SOLDIER FIVE - The SAS Book The Wanted to Ban
by Mike Coburn

Soldier Five is the memoir of an elite NZ soldier's service within the SAS and in particular, his service during the Gulf War. As a member of the Special Forces patrol, now famously known by its cal sign Bravo Two Zero, he and seven others were inserted hundreds of kilometers behind enemy lines to reconnoitre targets, undertake surveillance of Scud missile sites and to sabotage Iraqi communication links.

The ill-fated Brave Two Zero mission of the Gulf War has become one of the most notorious episodes in military history. Several accounts of the story have already appeared in books, films and articles, but in this book the author now seeks to set the record straight and honour the memory of his three comrades who were killed.
