Author Biography
Dick Horton joined the Colonial Civil Service from Cambridge in 1937 and was District Officer of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands when the Japanese invaded them during the Second World War. He served with the US marines and the Australian Navy during the war. The author of The Happy Isles, New Georgia: Pattern for Victory, Fire Over Islands and Ring of Fire, Dick Horton now lives in Sussex.
