'The Dam Busters' By Paul Brickhill ; With a Foreword by Marshal of the Royal Air Force The Lord Tedder
Evans Brothers Ltd. London, 1955
Hardcover, 269 pages, photographs.
In reasonably well-preserved condition, owner inscription on front endpaper, fading to cover edges, a section of four pages has come loose from binding, all other pages clean.

Paul Brickhill's bestselling account of the famous 617 Squadron of the Royal Air Force, which was formed early in 1943 for one special job - to breach the Moehne and Eder Dams in Germany.

They were, in fact, unique; a chosen bank of extremely skillful and fearless volunteers, using special weapons that could not be given to other units……Here are the great dams raid, and the hitherto unrevealed details of how the Dam Busters destroyed Hitler’s last secret weapon – the V.3, the fabulous 500-ft. guns that were to have wiped out London.
