Fanny Osborne's watercolours of New Zealand native flowers are a particularly fine example of botanical art. Her paintings are not merely beautiful - they are all painted to an extremely high degree of botanical accuracy. Remarkably they were all painted in the early 1900s on Great Barrier Island where Fanny Osborne lived as a child and later with his own family of 13 children.
