This immaculate but undated little red booklet of 78 pages was, according to my best efforts at research, published in 1949 by the NZ Herald. It covers the history, layout and symbolism of the components of the Auckland King's College chapel, with focus on the stained glass windows designed by the Englishman, Arthur Lucien Ward.

Not to be confused with a book similarly titled about the chapel windows of King's College Cambridge.

It may be noted that the coat-of-arms of King's College changed since this booklet was produced, although the motto 'Virtus Pollet' remains.

The booklet is softcover (red patterned card) and approx 10x13cm square. Remarkably it is in near perfect condition despite its age, and the only real sign of its advancing years is the two staples which are rusting (no damage to pages). Other than that, this booklet is just immaculate inside and out, with no markings, foxing or flaws.

No doubt this is highly collectable... but as to it's value I have no real idea, there is nothing like it for sale anywhere that I know of!
