Wild Wales
By George Borrow

No. 49 in EL (although not stated in this edition)

J.M. Dent & Sons, London

1906 1st Reprint (same year as first printing)

Small hardcover, 617pp.

With an Introduction by Theodore Watts-Dunton.

Fascinating account of English writer and traveller George Borrow's walking tour through Wales in 1854, written in his usual cheerful and eccentric style. A self-taught speaker of the Welsh language, Borrow's linguistic abilities opened doors to him that were not open to other visitors.

Good to Good+ condition. Some rubbing of green cloth boards and browning of edges, small reddish stains on bottom edge. Small white stains on rear board. Mild edgewear. Spine strip feels loose, but binding is tight internally. Lovely inscription dated 1907. Clean unmarked pages. No wrapper. Please click here to ask a question
