starts with pages 218 and finishes on page 456. 5 clour plates with portraits of Doctor Nachtigal, Gerard Rohlfs, Albert Marche, Henry Barth,Paul du Chaillu, Colonel Chaille-Long, Rev, Dr Crowther, Leopold King of the Belgians, also many b/w illustrations in the text.
Condition: mottling on front and rear covers,
text is detached from the binding, wear at top and bottom of spine.
