Selected speeches by British Liberal and Radical statesman John Bright, also a Quaker. He was one of the great orators of his Victorian generation and vocal critic of British foreign policy to which many of these speeches relate. Some topics covered include India, Russia, America, Ireland, Free Trade, and the Land Question.

Relatively rare, with the final printing of this book occurring in 1926.

Good condition with no DW. Binding in early stages of cracking in a few places. Spine slightly faded. Light stain along bottom edge. Gilt top edge. Pencil price notation on FEP, no other markings. Nice clean pages.
