ABC 123 illustrated by Peter Stevenson

What makes this book so special is its stunning, imaginative illustrations!

The first section for ABC has each letter of the alphabet, illustrated on bold creative animal images, organised to show the shape of the letter. Some are quite subtle (for example, E for elephant, has the elephants holding their trunks in just the way to look like an E; a jellyfish's tentacles are hanging and look like the letter J)

The second section for 123 tells the story of a man who goes on a walk, and on the way he saw a whole sequence of things:one rabbit in its burrow, two swans in some reeds, three tractors at work, and so on up to number 10 - but each is moving or arranged in some way like the numeral 1, 2, 3 and so on.

The third section presents a series of scenes with counting questions inviting the reader to count how many of something is shown in each. The illustrations are delightful
