James H Thorpe coloured wash pen & ink sketch ? print of cricket match scene signed.

James Thorpe, (1876-1949), was the author and illustrator of 'A Cricket Bag', published in 1929. He also illustrated de Selincourt's 'Over' published in 1932. He was a contributor to 'Punch' (1909-1938) and 'The Graphic' (1908-1915).

Approximate size: Frame 30 by 24.8 cm

Marks: Bowler "Would you mind standing sideways, old chap?" Umpire "I will - but it's worse." Signed THORPE

In good condition for age with some foxing of the mount but not apparently the print.
