WARNINGS

• Keep from young children! If two or more are swallowed they can be lethal, by attracting across gut tissue and puncturing it.
• The material is brittle so it can chip or break if magnets crash together. Eye protection advised.
• Magnets can pinch skin and cut clothing. Larger ones can crush fingers.
• For sensitive devices (e.g. credit cards, pacemakers, magnetic recording), keep at a distance where the field is negligible.

PRODUCT DETAILS

This is a single, extremely powerful, neodymium, "rare earth" magnet. This type is about 10 times more powerful than traditional ferrite or ceramic magnets.

Dimensions: 20mm diameter x 20mm long, with poles at the ends.

Strength Rating: N45. Many magnets sold in NZ are N35 grade or lower, and are significantly weaker. One trader is even dishonestly advertised a weaker grade as N45.

Although reasonably compact, these have a pull/push of around 17 kg between magnets, and the same direct pull to smooth, flat, 3.3 mm steel. The magnetic field can be projected further away by spacing a row of them on a solid steel bar.

For a smaller, less aggressive magnet, consider our D15x15mm, or D12x16mm.
