WARNINGS

• Keep from young children! If two or more are swallowed they can be lethal, by attracting across gut tissue and puncturing it.
• The material is brittle so it can chip or break if magnets crash together. Eye protection advised.
• Magnets can pinch skin and cut clothing.
• For sensitive devices (e.g. credit cards, pacemakers, magnetic recording), keep at a distance where the field is negligible.

PRODUCT DETAILS

This is a pack of 8 amazingly powerful, neodymium magnets.

They have a direct pull to each other, or 1.7 mm (or thicker)sheet steel, of about 4.5 kg in ideal conditions or 10.5 kg between 2 sheets of steel. 2 in a stack will pull about 7 kg to 2 mm steel. 3 stacked: 9 kg to 2.4 mm steel.

Dimensions: 15 mm diameter by 4 mm thick, with a 3 mm countersunk mounting hole. (Small hole to retain maximum pull) (For mounting, use #4 countersunk, S/Steel, self-tapping screws, available on-line from Steelmasters, etc.) If you use a spade bit for mounting, you'll need 1" screws. I can sell them for 70c each on request.

4 are countersunk on the North side, 4 on the South, so they can be set up in pairs either to attract or to repel.

Strength Rating: N45. Many magnets sold in NZ are N35 grade or lower, and are significantly weaker. One trader is even dishonestly advertised a weaker grade as N45.

• Latches & closures, eg cupboard doors
• Holders (Tools, etc)
• Attaching documents and products for commercial display
• Clamp components while gluing.
• Secure display of work-site documents, to withstand strong wind. Attach a dowel handle for easy handling.
