WARNINGS

• Keep from young children! If two or more are swallowed they can be lethal, by attracting across gut tissue and puncturing it.
• Magnets can pinch skin and cut clothing.
• For sensitive devices (e.g. credit cards, pacemakers, magnetic recording), keep at a distance where the field is negligible.

CONSTRUCTION:

• This specialised construction consists of a magnet enclosed in a steel “pot”, or "cup". This concentrates the magnetic field to a narrow ring area on the countersunk side of the unit.
• The highly-localised field pulls very well to flat, smooth steel, eg a washer or sheet steel, but also tools.
• Not suitable for pulling from a distance, or for pulling towards another magnet. Use our standard magnets for these applications.
• Still works when set into a steel surface.

DETAILS:

• Pack or 6. (Extras by arrangement at same per-magnet price)
• Dimensions: 20mm diameter, 7.2mm thick, with 4.3mm countersunk mounting hole that takes a #6 or #8 self-tapping mounting screw.
• Neodymium magnets are about 10 times more powerful than traditional ferrite or ceramic types.
• In typical applications each magnet has a holding force up to around 7kg. Resistance to sliding is about 1/3 that, depending on the friction characteristics of the surface.
• The finish is durable Nickel Copper/Nickel plating.
• Safe from being chipped (but don't over-tighten mounting screws)
• Unsuitable for motors, etc.

• Hold panels & fittings to walls.
• Where stray magnetic fields must be kept to a minimum.
