Lovely vintage solid Kauri fire surround. In reasonably good condition overall.

It has a split in the mantel, on the right hand side, about 350 mm long. This is quite common with wood of this age. It could be easily filled and varnished over or left as is for true character! The mark in the red circle is just a surface mark, not a chip of wood missing.
