Mini bales are excellent for people who want the nutritional benefits of silage for their animals yet do not want to invest in expensive handling equipment. They weigh around 25 - 30kgs and so are easily lifted manually. They are excellent for horses - I have had a lot of success in maintaining weight on older horses throughout winter. They can be stored outside and will last for upto 3 years or so.
