Bokashi is a very good way to turn food waste to compost. You can put all cooked or uncooked food waste to the bin and turn them to compost in a much shorter time. You can learn it from council's website http://www.compostcollective.org.nz/bokashi/ The normal price for a council's BoKashi set is $60. I can also give you the instruction of how to do it.

There are two 20 Liter very strong buckets in a set. The top bucket with holes & the bottom bucket without.
