We have designed our own RAMs for speed and efficiency, A larger Ram will surely produce more force, but however will be slower and produce more friction / heat in your system as more oil is required to move it through the same size hoses.
With this unit we have made the spear larger 66mm diameter and 88mm ID, thus requiring less oil to push to the home position, as most of the volume is taken up by the spear, and requiring less oil, you get a much faster return stroke. We also have now a 1" dump hose to cater for the volume within the cylinder when retracting.

These rams will split any timber we have here in New Zealand, all our units will have these installed.
