Surplus 5x25kg bags of bare 1st generation Progrow grass seed. This variety is an Annual ryegrass. It loses its vigor after a 12 month period. It is very fast out of the ground and is a diploid grass, meaning it can regenerate better after heavier grazing compared to tetraploid varieties. It is a quick fix grass seed was dressed in 2011 and we bought march 2012 for sowing.Unused and shed stored ever since. We would sow this variety at approximately 25kg/ha on its own and get multiple grazings throughout winter. I am unsure if the germination has lowered in the time frame we have kept it.
