This grit is very finely ground as some other larger grades of grit are often too large to be digested by poultry and aivery birds"

Why do chooks/Aviary birds require Oyster Grit?

All birds such as Aviary birds/chickens and poultry require grit which is held in thier crop and grinds seeds etc they eat before being passed down along the gut. Chickens do not have teeth (hence the terms "as rare as hens teeth!")

Oyster grit is also essential part of a laying bird/chickens diet as provides a source of soluble calcium which is essential for production of hard shells.

Ideal for all Aviary birds/poultry (chook's, geese, ducks etc)
