This auction is for 6 fertile purebred araucana eggs.

The lavender hens are running with 2 lavender and one black Araucana roosters.

All care will be taken to pack your eggs, but there are no guarantees what condition the eggs will arrive so postage is at the buyers risk. The postage prices below are for a box that will fit 6 to 12 eggs.

Eggs will be posted on Tuesday morning.

Please remember to let your eggs sit for 24 hours after they arrive so they can settle before incubation. A general information sheet about incubation will be sent with your eggs.

Hatching chicks in an incubator is a technical process.

Temperature: 37.5 degrees Celsius, make sure the temperature doesn't fluctuate.

Humidity: This is where most people have the biggest problem. Humidity should be 40- 50% for the first 18 days then 60-70% for the last 3 days.

Humidity to low: chicks won't hatch.

Humidity to high: some incubators will tell you to fill the selected sections in the bottom of the tray with water however this is not recommended and has caught many people new to hatching off guard leading to a 0% hatch rate. These chicks become swollen with water, do not use their egg yoke in time and drown in the egg as a result. I dry incubate (use no water) for the first 18 days as there is the right amount of humidity in the air then increase the humidity with one small bowl of water in the bottom of the incubator for the last 3 days.

Fertility rate and Hatch rate are two different things entirely. most bad hatch rates are due to temperature or humidity being in correct.
