Knapp Excavator Thumbs manufacture hydraulic and manual excavator thumbs/clamps for machines 1 to 45 tonne.

Manual thumbs are much cheaper and do practically the same job as hydraulic ones. To install a manual thumb simply weld the thumb backing plate to your dipper arm and you are ready to go. No hydraulics required! It folds up out of the way if you don't need it. Or you can remove it completely leaving only the backing plate when you take the main pin out.

Knapp Excavator Thumbs are made in New Zealand using G350 Steel.

If you require a custom width or length, we can do this for you. We have lots of different designs and configurations in our system, and normally only charge a few hundred extra dollars for a custom job.
