New 12V 350mA Trickle Battery Charger with Alligator Clips on a 1.8m lead, suitable for AGM, GEL and Calcium Sealed and Wet Lead Acid batteries. These chargers are great for keeping 12V airplane, boat, bus, camper, car, generator, jetski, lawnmower, motorbike, quad, truck, tractor and van batteries fully charged when not in use.

It's a little known fact that lead acid batteries start sulphating immediately charging is stopped, so that batteries left uncharged for over 2 months will often fail and need to be replaced. This charger can prevent and even reverse the sulphation that shortens a battery's life, paying for itself in a short time through battery savings!

It's designed to be connected to batteries in place without disconnecting the existing wiring - fit a remote charging system for hard to get at batteries.

If you have a 24V system, just use two of these, one on each 12V battery. That has the added benefit of equalising the batteries, helping them to last longer.

Please note it's a Plug Pack Trickle Charger for maintaining batteries and is too small to charge run down batteries over 12Ah. Fine to charge small batteries that have not been run down below 10V.

It has built-in protection from accidental short circuit and reverse polarity connection with a red LED to show the battery condition. When the LED is glowing the battery is being charged. When it's flashing the battery has finished charging and the charger is maintaining the battery at 13.6V. Do not leave going for more than one week...use a 240V timer to operate it one day every 7 days for extended trickle charging.

If it's flashing fast when first connected to the battery, that indicates the battery is flat (below 10V) and will need charging with a flat battery charger before connecting this one - see my other auction.
