Doug's invention- a 160amp battery charging system is simply a godsend.Because we are dependent on solar power, during the winter we quite often used to run the battery bank flat.
This isn't good for deep cycle batteries and having Doug's back up system automatically start when the batteries get low is nothing short of a miracle for us.
What also amazes me is how fast the system charges the battery bank- (we have 4 12V battery bank made up of 14 different batteries- 12 X 2Volt & 2 X 12Volt)
Charging only takes about an hour- very cost effective, it uses very little fuel.
