Under the direction of Japanese architect Oki Sato, 'The Ribbon stool' was created by the Japanese design company Nendo and was first shown in 2007 at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.

"Inspired by the ribbons on a ballet shoe the ribbon stool's graceful design allows the eye to dance quietly over its form; inspiring, uplifting and transforming the space it occupies..."

Constructed from 1mm moulded solid steel the ribbon stool is welded together polished by hand before being powder coated in various colours.

The ribbon stool is available in either white or galvanised.
