Genuine Goat Leather by nature has some natural blemishes, marks or scarring which reconfirms that it is 100% genuine. This gives it a perfect natural vintage look. Each bag is unique and has different colour shadings which may not be exactly the same as the image. Each bag is freshly made made for you so there might be a different smell to the leather from what our western senses are used to. Most of our customers like the re-assuring smell of this leather but some don’t. Either way it fades away within 3-4 weeks of regular use. Distressed leather gives this luxury leather travel bag a vintage beauty! Goatskin leather comes in two broad categories: there’s the traditional goatskin, and then you have the softer and dexterous kidskin, which is from younger goats (kids). Goatskin leather is similar to cowhide, but much softer. It is more durable than kidskin, and it is strong and flexible with an exceptionally smooth and fine grain. It will often possess an inherent store of lanolin, allowing it to retain oils for extended periods of time without excessive care. A nice bonus feature, unlike most leathers, is that the more it is exposed to the environment the more character the leather develops.
