Bought on Etsy for $200, then spent another $100 having the insole and last replaced, as well as the heels rebuilt but after all that they've just been sitting on my shelf gathering dust! Would love for them to go to an appreciative home! These shoes have been well worn and there are scuffs on the back heels, toes and sides of the leather but the soles and taps have many more miles in them - they are a sturdy shoe! Despite this I haven't worn them since fixing them up but have regulariy conditioned the leather. The new insoles have started coming unglued but this doesn't effect the wearability.

I'm not sure that you could find shoes with a more ideal WWII silhouette! The color? A deep and delicious "Bing cherry" red, almost a maroon, with with more depth. The heel? Cuban, of course, and the shape is perfect. In true war era fashion, the heels are painted, rather than being covered with leather, to conserve materials. I love the accent "bow" at the vamp. The black platform. That IDEAL peep toe. These are bound to come out of your shoe closet again... and again... and again!
