This is a battery for a 13 inch Aluminium MacBook Pro.

The battery is Model Number A1322 for 13" MacBooks Pros. It does not fit white unibody MacBooks or Aluminium MacBooks. It needs to say MacBook Pro at the bottom of the screen. It will also not fit the Retina MacBook Pro

It is Brand New and showing a charge capacity of over 5900mAh which is really awesome.

The battery is described as non user swappable but it is so easy to do if you have the Tri-Wing screwdriver - which happens to comes as part of the screwdriver kit that you get FREE with Buy Now. The screwdriver kit also contains a small Phillips that will undo the base screws to let you get at the battery. It is easy to do.

To check the condition of your battery you can:

Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner Select "About this Mac" Click on the "More Info" option Click on "System Report" Select "Power" from the list of options on the left hand side of the window that opened You are looking for: "Full charge capacity mAh" xxxx

The higher the charge capacity amount, the better. Anything over 5500mAh is stunning, 5000 - 5500 mAh is excellent. 4500 - 5000 mAh is very good and 4000-4500 is good

To change the battery is easy

1. Undo ten phillips screws holding on the base and remove the base
2. unplug the battery from the laptop. The plug just pulls straight up to remove it from the socket
3. Undo 2 Tri Wing screws holding in the battery
4. Gently remove battery

Put in the new battery and do the reverse

This is cost effective. I heard the price Apple was about $300

To look after you battery DO NOT leave it plugged into the mains power all the time. It will kill the battery in several months. Make sure you run the battery entirely flat every couple of weeks (cycle the battery) - even past the warning that says you are on reserve power. It will extend the life of your battery.
