I have sold this UPS style for 7 years.

These are high reliability UPS.

They are also low noise.

LCD panels showing load, VAC in and out, battery condition, temperature etc.

I have been selling, installing and servicing UPSs since 1992.

In that time I have sold over 20K units.

UPSs are fundamentally two main things.

1/ Stops all nasty power stuff reaching your electronics from the mains or generators

2/ Will continue power after AC mains or Generator is lost and allow powering through the time with no mains power or to shut the PC or device down gracefully and safely.

Over the years I have noticed there is a very consistent 3rd function that most people don't see or pay attention to.

Have you notice sometimes your lights will blink or drop out for a second or two??

This is a hole in the mains power supply, sometime literally that or a large load or pump starting in the neighbourhood that creates a transient down the mains line.

A UPS stops this and fills in the power.

UPSs also will correct low voltage from the mains, called Brown outs

and the opposite high voltage called over voltage situations.

So UPSs are quite smart, some more than others, and more reliable than most electronics.
