HP ScanJet 6300C (Hewlett-Packard)

This scanner is surplus to my requirements.

CONDITION: I have just run a test scan, and in principle the scanner works fine, but there is a pink or magenta line that vertically runs along the image at about an inch or so from the left edge of the original. You can see this in the square included in the photo: this is from a scan of a book cover taken at 1200 DPI, and that speckled pattern is the printing screen of the scanned book cover (which is as expected and normal). You see a faint vertical line in the right half of the square - and this is not from the scanned object but an artifact created by the scanner.

I believe this could be either due to one or a few faulty sensor pixels, or maybe even dirt on the sensor - not sure. Anwyay, decide for yourself whether this is acceptable to you before bidding...
