New Genuine INTEL 8 Core 16 Thread Dual Xeon Server / Workstation PC.
This is a custom built Genuine Intel Server, that can also operate as a high end 3D Graphics workstation or even gaming system (if you wanted) or even better yet a 3D rendering / CAD workstation. This does it all :)
Specs:
*Intel S5520HC EATX Motherboard
*2 x Intel Xeon E5520 LGA1366 Quad Core 8 Thread CPU's with Hyperthreading, making 16 threads in total usable in the operating system. 8M Cache per CPU.
*12 GB DDR3 ECC Tripple Channel RAM
*Intel SC5600 Server Chassis, 670W fixed PSU, 3 fixed chassis fans with ducting, 1 PSU fan. Supports up to 6 tool-free cabled drives, upgradeable to 6 hot-swap drives (SAS or SATA). Have added the 2nd drive bay into this chassis so it can take 12 hard drives (non hot-swap) however you can change the bay to hot-swap support later if you like.
*Intel Active Cooling Solution per CPU
*Black Sata DVDRW Drive
This server is new but has been bench / lab tested to test compatability & stability (burn in & performance tested etc) on the following Microsoft Platforms: Windows 2008 R2 Server, Hyper V server, SBS2011 Server and Windows 7 Professional Platforms and it runs like a beast on them all - VERY Quick. Supports virtual machines / servers you couldn't really ask for more.
It has a pretty reasonable spec onboard Intel RAID Controller but likewise can be upgraded to support even higher end RAID function with an Intel / LSI upgradable module available seperately.
It will also take a Geforce/Quadro or Radeon/FireGL card for those who want to use it for gaming or high end 3D Rendering / imaging work, such as Maya, 3D Studio Max, Autocad, Sketchup, Revit, Solidworks, Mudbox, Zbrush etc.
Doesn't come with any HDD fitted, but we can supply whatever your wanting at additional cost. It was tested using 7200RPM SATA Drives + SSD Drives.
A simular spec HP system costs around $6800-9000 dollars.
The motherboard & chassis have a 3yr RTB Intel warranty on them from Intel.
