How about a handmade bookmark, Monarch Butterflies (danaus plexippus) - would make a great Christmas present for overseas friends or family, fits in an envelope!. Stitched on a vinyl fabric, it is gently hand-washable (if need be) & won't lose its shape. Obviously the finishing is visible on the reverse side, but I make it as neat as humanly possible. Measures approximately 19.5 x 6cm.
