Miyuki Light Amethyst TSL (12) 11 seed beads

This auction is for 4 grams ( approx 440 beads) of Light Amethyst TSL (12) Miyuki 11 beads....gorgeous for all bead projects...can be peyoted , embroidered or fringed


These are round rocailles, not cylindrical Delicas and are slighly bigger than Delicas

F - Fancy (transparent , usually with Aurora Borealis rainbow finish and inside colour lined

C - Ceylon (soft and subdued pearl-like finish)


CR - Crystal (transparent, the inside of the bead is darker than the outside)

MA - Matte (frosted appearance, opaque unless otherwise indicated, sometimes 2 or 3 tone)

MR - Metallic Rainbow (multiple colour metallic,often called iris)

TR - Transparent Rainbow (light passes thru the bead, with an Aurora Borealis rainbow finish)

OPL - Opaque Luster (opaque with a pearl-like luster finish)

ICL - Inside colour lined (Bead is transparent. Inside of the bead is a different colour than the outside...colours listed as inside/outside

For your info...there are three main manufacturers of glass beads in Japan: Miyuki, Toho and Matsuno. In general, Japanese beads are of better quality than those made in other countries. Miyuki is widely recognized as producing the highest quality beads with the most uniformity. These beads have a donut, rather than cylindrical shape.

Serious beaders often choose these as the finished work is of a much higher standard.
