There are 14 fixed compartments with individual snap tight lids - 12 are rectangular, 2 are squarish They all have rounded bottom edges, so it's easy to scoop your treasures out.

These organizers stack well and are probably one of the best storage units I've ever used.
Handy for beads, findings and any other little nic nacs that need keeping safe
