These base boards are made of slate and tile underlay which is the perfect mosaic base for indoors or out.

They are pre-wired and ready to hang.

Unlike any timber base, they do NOT contract and expand with temperature and humidity changes which is what leads to grout cracking and then glue failure.

The rougher side of the board is set up for gluing on your mosaic pieces, and the smooth side is on the back ready to paint for a really nice finish. The wire is galvanised and set into the board, so it provides a flat surface to mosaic over, and the edges of the board are all smoothed.
