handmade recipe book with shakespearian theme

This is a wonderfully unique handmade recipe book. The type you'd love to put your granny's precious recipes in. A real keepsake to pass on through your family.

This book has been collaged with recipes from old recipe books and splashed with coffee to give it an old fashioned feel. It has a gorgeous quote on the front by William Shakespeare which says:
"Dost though think because thou art so virtuous there shall be no more cake and ale?".

It has been bound using an old style of binding (coptic binding) allowing the journal to open flat. It's been bound using a white linen thread and blue thread.

The paper inside is a yummy scrummy and has been dyed in tea/coffee. I cut the pages with a saw to create a unique (not to mention yummy) finish. There are pockets inside the book made out of old recipes to put those loose recipes in that we all seem to end up with!

220mm x 150mm
