Turning the pages of this appealing book will make you want to try more and more of Joyce's designs.

Help- yourself to 108 charted motifs and short subjects. Most are pictorial patchwork, and nearly all are overlaid with assembly grids. The motifs range from birds and bees through fish and animals (some of the stuffed variety like the teddy bear), flowers and fruit, ships and sailboats, to numerals and alphabet letters that inspire logos.

Most of the short subjects, shown in 40 photographs, are wall hangings. Included are some handsome Oriental designs and other abstracts. There's a sampler quilt for a group effort, and a few intricate projects to challenge the really adventurous. Templates are all here including those needed for the author's new elongated curves.
