The oak leaves contain tannin which gives the silk a brown tinge.

This silk is ideal for spinning, felting, blending with other fibres, doll making and other crafts including paper making.

The fibre length is 70 - 80mm.

Silk can be easily dyed with the Ashford wool dyes.
