The main feature of Astra sandpaper is that the backing is coated with the grain to form a pre-determined pattern structure. This prevents loading, reduces heat generation, requires lighter sanding pressure, and gives longer sanding life. The Velcro doesnt de-bond So unlike other papers that with friction the backing will separate from the stuck on sand paper a longer lasting paper So Ideal for the Woodturner ,wood Carver ,wood artist lathe work ,boat building
