As its common name suggests it moves in the wind. Its fine gossamer like leaves stream out with the wind. Its reddish orange foliage and its pink tinged flower heads are a real beauty during flowering which extend from early Summer through for several months.
Anamanthel lessoniana is one of our most popular tussucks. They grow to a meter high and a meter wide. Planted along a boarder or driveway they create a living corridor. Mass planted on a bank or bund they look fantastic.
Plant at 1 per square meter and in a couple of years you have suppressed the light getting through to the open ground and weeds are limited.
They are very hardy and will grow almost anywhere.
