Neutral Density (ND) filters can reduce the intensity of light without appreciably changing its color. Traditionally speaking, ND filters have different f-stop reduction numbers and transmittance thus generated can be applied for different shooting conditions, such as portraiture, water falls, etc.

This is a Digital High Definition filter with a low profile filter ring . It is made of High index optical glass for maximum light transmission.

When you wish to change the density, simply rotate the ring of this filter, you can change the ND number from 2 to 400.

The Fader ND offers the best image performance with lens with focal length 200mm below. Image quality may drop when focal length above 200mm.

Suitable for all lenses including wide angle.wide angle. With fish eye lenses it will cause vignetting. Patterned after Light Craft II.

When using particularly wide angles, a dark cross may appear on your images especially when used on full-frame cameras. This cross may begin to appear at densities of less than 9 stops. The point at which the cross begins to be observed depends on the exact camera & lens combination, but below is a guide of the recommended range of stops which should be sought at varying focal lengths.

Used within these ranges below the images will be satisfactory

12mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 3 stop (ND8) operating range. 15mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 4 stop (ND16) operating range. 18mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 5 stop (ND32) operating range. 24mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 6 stop (ND64) operating range. 35mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 7 stop (ND125) operating range. 40mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 7.5 stop (ND175) operating range. 50mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 8 stop (ND250) operating range 70mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 8.5 stop (ND350) operating range. 100mm: 2 stop (ND4) to 9 stop (ND500) operating range
