Or maybe you have your own bracket and want to swap out the existing cold shoe? Or you have a flash or umbrella/flash lightstand mount and you want to change the cold shoe? Well, look no further. Better still, we have addressed the one possible design flaw in the Stroboframe clamp; the tightening nut. On the Stroboframe and many copies, the nut is a small red plastic affair. Many users asked us for a bigger, beefy design of nut, one you can more easily tighten. So we did. The head of the screw is still plastic, which makes it easier to grip with your fingers. The clamp cold shoe is made of black anodised cast alloy metal. This is ideal choice to securely mount your precious flash to. It even fits the new Nikon SB-900 and SB-910. The cold shoe has a lowered channel in the centre that means the contacts on the flash foot sit above the bottom of the shoe and can't short out. This clamp cold shoe has a 1/4" x 20 (Whitworth) threaded hole to attach directly to a stand, or the brass/aluminium inserts (spigots) or top thread provided on many umbrella adapters (for example as found on our Type D Tilt/Swivel Light Stand Umbrella/Flash Mount Adapter).
