Telephoto macro lens An update over Tamron's previous 90mm macro, this lens features a new optical design, an Ultrasonic Silent Drive autofocus motor, and Vibration Compensation image stabiliser. The new optics include two Extra Low Dispersion elements, one Low Dispersion element, and high grade glass, all of which reduce distortions and aberrations. The new Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency coating significantly reduces reflections, increasing light transmission and eliminating flare and ghosting. Focusing is internal and driven by the new USD motor, which makes for quick and silent focusing with full-time manual override. Finally, this is a true macro lens, and is capable of up to 1:1 magnification with a working distance of 30cm.
