Mount Adapter M42/Pentax screw lens to Olympus 4/3

This M42 Adapter ring will allow your Olympus 4/3 mount camera (and other cameras with 4/3 mount) to use any M42/Pentax screw lenses.

Four Thirds 4/3 System -- for Olympus E Series, Panasonic and Leica 4/3 Digital Cameras (Don't confuse with MICRO 4/3 cameras)

All 4/3 adapters allow infinity lens focusing
All 4/3 adapters work with manual focus only
Mount Adapter M42 Pentax screw lens to Olympus 4/3

All 4/3 adapters operate at shooting aperture - you manually open or close the lens aperture using the lens aperture ring
With AV aperture priority AE no aperture value is displayed
Manual Exposure metering
Use center weighted metering, not spot metering or matrix
Mirror lock up lenses can not be used with 4/3 adapters -- the lens protrudes too far into the camera.
IF you mount heavy lenses on the 4/3 adapter, be sure to support both the lens and the camera body.

This adapter allows M42 Screw type lenses to be used.
These include Fujica ST901 (1975) Olympus FTL (1970) Pentacon, Pentax Electro Spotmatic (Japan only), ES, Spotmatic F and ESII (1971, 1971, 1973, 1973) Praktica EE 2 and EE 3 (1977, 1979, EE = Electric Eye) Yashica Electro AX (1972) Ricoh TLS-EE (1973) and corrent Zenit SLRs

The aperture required will need to be set manually on the M42 lens and auto-exposure will then function. If the M42 lens does not have an aperture ring, maximum aperture will be utilised. TTL flash metering is preserved with this adapter.

To Mount: Mount the M42 Lens onto the adapter, then mount them onto the Nikon camera. Set the aperture on the lens, switch the camera on, choose any program from the Mode dial except shutter speed priority, focus the lens manually, and shoot.

To Remove: Remove both lens and the adapter together from the camera in the same way you would remove a lens. Then remove the adapter from the lens by depressing the lock on the mount, rotating the mount on the lens and removing.
